CANO Studios is a program designed to provide artists the ability to find and retain affordable work-space in New Orleans. CANO is working in partnership with National Performance Network and Young Audiences Louisiana to develop a Cultural Community Center. The primary mission of the Cultural Community Center is to provide studio, exhibition and performance spaces, a business incubator, educational and office/administrative space for New Orleans-based creative, cultural, and community producers. Potential tenants have expressed a dire need for stable, affordable space. Currently, the partnership is scouting potential locations throughout the greater New Orleans area. CANO is also exploring partnering with existing or developing community centers to manage and program space for creative artists and producers.
