Give Art 2021

CANO has once again launched a campaign to encourage people to select art by regional artists as holiday gifts rather than products manufactured offshore.

Consumers are unaware of how affordable original art works by local artists can be, making it possible to give an exciting and beautiful work of art as a holiday gift, and thereby helping our homegrown artists to thrive here in New Orleans rather than have to move to larger cities.

Not only do we have a huge population of culture bearers and makers who have carried on centuries-old cultural traditions, but we have attracted innovative artists in all disciplines from around the world who are drawn to the rich and sustained cultural life of our city.

We are featuring an artist per day beginning December 1st, and continuing through January 6th, a day on which some faiths and cultures share gifts with family and friends.

Images of artists’ work with artists’ contact information is being posted daily on Instagram. People can make purchases directly from the artist, who keep all proceeds from the purchase.
