The Creative Alliance of New Orleans, in partnership with New Orleans Film Festival and InvadeNOLA, announces the second in its series called CANOpeners, or networking events with the goal of encouraging collaborative initiatives and cross fertilization between creative disciplines, business and civic interests.
This CANOpener is designed as an informal networking event for those looking to work for and with the Louisiana Film Industry, scheduled just after a panel on the Louisiana Film Industry. CANO hopes to foster a “pipeline” between the film, arts and business communities to fuel new ideas and opportunities. Special guests include Dwight Henry, co-star of “Beasts of the Southern Wild” who will talk about breaking into film, and Will French, Co-Founder and President of Film Production Capital, a company that facilitates film production and film credits. Louisiana-centric food and beverages from some of the city’s most creative restaurants will be served. Join us at the Contemporary Arts Center, 900 Camp Street, Sunday, October 14th, 4 – 6 pm.
