Marta’s current exhibition at Antenna Gallery in New Orleans is called WhatHappenWas and is a participatory experience. The artist, Marta Rodriguez Maleck, invites the New Orleans community to release and let go in one-on-one conversations inside the installation at Antenna gallery – recounting feelings, ideas and events related to the pandemic.
These conversations, had throughout the month of October, will be 30 minutes – 1 hour and will be audio recorded. There are two days left to contribute your voice so if you’d like to participate, please email the artist at MartaRodriguezMaleck@gmail.
Sentences and phrases from each interview will be woven together in a sound collage, which will be presented at the exhibition’s closing. This sound collage will be a communal recounting of the New Orleans experience throughout the pandemic.
