Bronwyn Walls is a homegrown New Orleanian who has both lost and rediscovered her home at the mouth of the Mississippi. In the 12 years she spent across the Sabine River, she attended the University of Texas and began to illustrate and paint in the idiosyncratic Austin arts scene. Since returning to New Orleans in 2017, she has continued to stay curious and inventive, exploring stories woven in memory, painting, movement, fabric, and objects. She occupies a studio at Aquarium in the Bywater, which hosted her first solo exhibition in September 2019. Her work has been featured in Femaissance and the Lucky Art Fair. You can sometimes find her on roller skates in Crescent Park.
