Dominique Ranieri found passion in metal work after taking a metalsmithing class on a whim. Originally from Chicago, she continues to hone her craft and has established her base in New Orleans. Inspired by moon cycles, female anatomy, and geometric shapes, the play between soft elements of nature and hard metal structure is ever present in Dominique’s work. Using locally sourced materials in their rawest forms, Dominique’s designs carry a refreshing duality, refined technique and contemporary creativity. When she is not busy with metal work, she is using her creative hands making food or taking pictures.
